Retail Assistant - (Gross Approx. S$2,500 to S$3,000 per month) (Ref: 00091)

As a Retail Assistant, you will help create excitement about the products that the Company carries, providing the right solutions and getting products into the hands of the Company’s valued customers. Being part of the retail team, you must understand the business objectives and the importance of having the ability to deliver a company customer service & shopping experience that is a cut above the rest.

 

Roles & responsibilities include:

  • Support the day-to-day business operations of the retail store.
  • Greeting customers, the moment they enter the store and making them feel welcome.
  • Perform cashiering function / Cashiering counter closing.
  • Be approachable and be a good listener in discovering customers’ needs.
  • Recommend a product and solution in meeting customers’ needs & objectives.
  • Generate interest through the sharing of product knowledge.
  • Keeping abreast of product knowledge through continuous learning.
  • Overcoming customers’ objections.
  • Upselling of pet accessories, toys etc.
  • Promote and market PLC membership sign-ups & renewals.
  • Provide tender loving care to small animals in the store.
  • Perform general housekeeping to maintain a safe and hygienic environment for staff, customers and pets.
  • Closing sales with pride and a high level of professionalism.

 

Requirements:

  • Able to work 5 days work week (including weekends and public holidays)
  • Working Hours: 10am - 10pm (Pet Safari outlets: NEX, Vivo City, The Star Vista and Waterway Point Mall), OR 11am - 9:30pm (Pet Lovers Centre outlets)
  • Must be willing to have direct contact with animals and work in pet retail environment (animals, animals' fur & dust)
  • Physically fit to carry at least 22kg and can climb the ladder.
  • Able to handle food packaging products that contain Pork, Beef, Seafood, Lamb & Poultry, etc.

  • Sign-on Bonus: S$600 (After completion of continuous six (6) months of service, as per the Company's Sign-On bonus policy).
